Role Description The Shift Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Shift

Engineer will oversee day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the facility’s equipment and systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical issues, coordinating with vendors or internal teams for repairs, and documenting maintenance activities. The role also involves following standard operating procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives,



and responding promptly to any technical emergencies during assigned shifts.

Qualifications

- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain industrial or building equipment.
- Competence in using maintenance tools, diagnostic instruments, and basic computer applications for logging and reporting work.
- Understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance practices, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks during shift operations.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external service providers.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in a shift-based engineering or maintenance role is preferred.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and be physically present on-site in Chennai.
