Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Programmer to join our team in the graphite machining industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, with proficiency in Mastercam software preferred. This role involves creating and optimizing programs for precision graphite parts, ensuring high-quality production, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for VMC machines, specifically for graphite machining applications.
Utilize Mastercam software to generate accurate toolpaths, verify simulations, and ensure efficient material usage.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to produce high-quality machined components.
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, fixtures and machining strategies for graphite and related materials.
Work closely with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot issues and improve process efficiency.




Conduct trial runs and validate CNC programs on shop floor.
Maintain documentation of programs, tooling setups, and production notes.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve part quality, and optimize machine utilization while ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Assist in training machine operators on current programs and machining techniques.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 4–6 years of experience programming VMCs, preferably in the graphite or similarhigh-precision industry.
Strong proficiency in Mastercam (or equivalent CAM software); experience with CAD software is a plus.
