The Work You’ll Do

As a Junior Accountant based in Mumbai, you will join a high-performing finance team supporting a newly acquired Sovos entity in India. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to build a global career in a leading SaaS organization.

You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and continuous process improvement - while working with contemporary ERP systems and collaborating with cross-functional global teams.

More Specifically,



Your Areas Of Responsibility Will Include

Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, reclassifications) in line with the close calendar
Perform balance sheet and cash reconciliations, resolving open items under senior guidance
Assist in preparing supporting schedules, workpapers, and audit documentation for assigned accounts
Conduct variance analysis vs. budgets, forecasts, and prior periods to support financial insights
Ensure close tasks are completed accurately and on time, escalating issues when needed
Participate in team meetings, process improvement initiatives, and training sessions
Build familiarity with ERP systems, close management tools, and RTR process workflows
Collaborate with AP, AR, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate GL postings and reporting
Support global consolidated and statutory audits, including the India entity
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Canadian accounting standards
