We are seeking a highly experienced Soil and Groundwater Remediation Expert with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. The candidate will be responsible for leading site investigations, designing remediation strategies, and overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems for contaminated soil and groundwater.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage soil and groundwater contamination assessments and site investigations.
- Design and implement remediation strategies for hydrocarbon-impacted sites in oil and gas projects.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems (e.g., bioremediation, pump and treat, soil vapor extraction, etc.).
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff and project teams.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and remediation plans.
- Monitor remediation performance and optimize system efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in soil and groundwater remediation, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in installation and O&M; (operation and maintenance) of remediation systems.
- Solid understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Expertise in site investigation techniques and contamination assessment.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large-scale remediation projects.
- Knowledge of advanced remediation technologies.
- Familiarity with international environmental standards and guidelines.
