IDOM's Rail & Transit team covers signalling design with the latest technologies such as ERTMS and CBTC, RAMS analysis, SCADA, OCC and rolling stock supervision

. We are strengthening our

Recent Delhi team to deliver signalling engineering on metro, suburban and mainline rail projects in India and internationally.

Primary Responsibilities

- S ignalling engineering design and integration for metro (CBTC), mainline (ETCS/ERTMS L1–L2), suburban and freight rail projects.

- Develop and review design deliverables for interlockings, ATP/ATO/ATS, block systems, axle counters, point machines, signalling power and cabling

.

- Prepare signalling schematic plans, control tables, correspondence tables, sighting analysis, headway simulations and application data

.

- Interface with telecoms, traction power, SCADA, PSD, rolling stock and civil teams to ensure system integration.

- Support

T&C; activities

, review contractor submittals, RFIs, and provide construction and commissioning support.

- Prepare technical specifications, equipment data sheets and bid packages.

Qualifications





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or Signalling Engineering

.

- 8+ years of experience in railway signalling, with proven delivery on metro (CBTC) and/or mainline (ETCS/ERTMS)

projects.

- Experience with major signalling suppliers (Siemens, Alstom, Hitachi Rail STS, Thales, Kyosan, Medha) is a plus.

- Familiarity with SSI, CBI, radio‑based CBTC, ATP/ATO/ATS architectures and interlocking design tools.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Key Technical Competencies

- Signalling design (SSI/CBI, CBTC, ETCS L1–L2), block design and interlocking data preparation.

- Sighting, headway and capacity simulations.

- Signalling power supply, cabling and EMC coordination.

- Interface with telecoms, SCADA, PSD, traction and OCC.

- T&C;, integration testing and commissioning support.
