Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Shopify Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end Shopify development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Shopify customization, application development, API integrations, backend technologies, and e-commerce architecture.

The candidate should also have hands-on experience with Java and related frameworks/tools and be capable of independently managing Shopify development projects from requirement gathering to deployment and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end Shopify development, customization, maintenance, and optimization.
- Develop and customize Shopify and Shopify Plus stores using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build custom Shopify themes, sections, templates, features, and reusable components.
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify apps and functionalities.
- Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks.
- Design and implement integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, logistics, inventory, marketing, and other third-party platforms.
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using Java and related technologies.
- Work with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar technologies.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, scalability, performance, and conversion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across frontend, backend, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, design, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead technical development projects and ensure the timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding,



security, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, e-commerce technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices.

Profile Requirements:

- 5+ years of professional experience in Shopify development.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end Shopify development and e-commerce technology.
- Experience working with Shopify Plus and high-volume e-commerce platforms is preferred.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture, order management, inventory, payments, and third-party integrations.
- Experience working in D2C, e-commerce, retail, or consumer technology businesses is preferred.
- Ability to independently manage development projects from requirement gathering to deployment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, business-oriented workplace.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Skill Requirements:

- Shopify: Shopify, Shopify Plus, Liquid, Custom Themes, Custom Apps, Shopify Functions.
- Shopify APIs: Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, Webhooks.
- Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, Microservices, API Development.
- Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
- Development Tools: Git, Version Control, CI/CD, Debugging, Logging, and Monitoring Tools.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud experience is preferred.
- Advanced E-commerce: Headless Commerce, Hydrogen, React, Next.js, Checkout Customization, and Third-Party Integrations are preferred.
