Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Server Engineer – NOC to join our Network Operations Center (NOC). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in telecom/ISP environments and be responsible for managing the organization's server, virtualization, storage, cloud, and infrastructure platforms supporting mission-critical broadband services.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Windows and Linux servers, VMware virtualization, enterprise storage solutions, cloud platforms, backup solutions, and infrastructure monitoring . The engineer will work closely with Network, Security, Cloud, and Operations teams to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure.
- Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter , virtual machines, clusters, HA, DRS, and storage integration.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and system hardening.
- Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage , storage allocation, replication, snapshots, and performance optimization.




- Support hybrid cloud environments including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
- Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring tools and respond to critical NOC incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for infrastructure outages and implement preventive measures.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent.
- Plan capacity upgrades, infrastructure expansion, and lifecycle management.
- Implement security best practices, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards.
- Automate routine administration tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the NOC team.
- Coordinate with Network, Security, Cloud, and Application teams during maintenance activities and major incidents.
- Participate in 24×7 NOC support and infrastructure change management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- 6–10+ years of experience in Server Infrastructure within an ISP, Telecom, Data Center, or Enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion , and virtualization management.




- Experience with enterprise storage platforms (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, IBM, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, file services, clustering, and server security.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Grafana, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in production environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Telecom or Internet Service Provider (ISP) environments is mandatory .
- Experience supporting Broadband, FTTH, BNG, Core Network, or Data Center infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, or Python.
- Experience with SIEM, endpoint security, and infrastructure compliance.
- Certifications such as VMware VCP , Microsoft, Red Hat, Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, or ITIL are preferred.
