Role Description The Cargo Supervisor is a full time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for overseeing daily cargo operations. This includes coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing loading and unloading activities, and ensuring proper handling, storage, and documentation of cargo. The role involves supervising ground staff, monitoring compliance with safety and security standards, and ensuring accurate records for tracking and reporting.

The Cargo

Supervisor will liaise with transport partners, clients, and internal teams to resolve operational issues, optimize schedules, and maintain service quality. The position also includes regular inventory checks, inspection of cargo conditions,



and continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Experience in cargo handling, logistics, or transportation operations supervision, preferably in air, and Sea.

Strong skills in team coordination, staff supervision, and shift management.

Ability to maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports, with attention to detail and compliance with relevant regulations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of safety, security, and quality standards in cargo and warehouse environments.

Basic computer literacy, including use of logistics software, spreadsheets, and email.

Ability to work in a physically active environment, including overseeing loading/unloading and performing routine inspections.

Prior experience in a supervisory role and familiarity with inventory control or warehouse management is an advantage.

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, based on operational requirements.
