The Sample Handling Assistant I,



is accountable for the data entry and the processing of requisitions received in batches from various regional LPS teams. The Sample Handling Assistant I will perform a variety of tasks.
Performs main functions of the department as needed, which includes but not limited to:
Accessioning: First & Second entry of patient demographics and administrative questions displayed on requisitions completed in a timely manner
Responsible for completing various batches according to their urgency and defined turnaround time.
Perform Accessioning or Data entry process under supervision of trainer with the expectations to perform Accessioning process independently after completion of training
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure received batches are timely processed.
Generate an appropriate audit trail of all activities.
Perform On-call and after-hours duties as needed.
Ensure concerned SOPs are timely read.
