About The Role
MCX commodity markets run an extended session compared to equity — opening in the afternoon and closing late evening for international commodity-linked contracts. This role exists specifically to own that window. You are the person who ensures that every MCX trading terminal, every network link, and every backend application is live and performing from the moment the session opens to the moment EOD processes complete.
You will work at the intersection of network infrastructure and trading application support — handling leased lines and Cisco equipment on one side, and OMS/platform stability and broker coordination on the other. This is a hands-on, incident-first role where speed of diagnosis and calmness under pressure are the most important qualities.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Connectivity
Manage and monitor leased lines providing dedicated connectivity to MCX and back-end trading infrastructure throughout the shift
Operate and maintain Cisco networking equipment — switches, routers, and firewalls — ensuring secure, low-latency connectivity during live market hours
Configure and maintain IP addresses, DNS records, and LAN/WAN parameters for trading systems and connected endpoints
Monitor link quality, packet loss, and latency continuously during the MCX session and respond to threshold breaches immediately
Coordinate with ISPs and leased line providers on outages, degradation, or failover switching during the live market window
Maintain network segment segregation between trading systems, back-office, and general office traffic
Document all network configurations, topology changes, and incident resolutions accurately
