Our Out of Hours Team plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of care outside normal office hours. The team provides operational support to care staff, responds to emergencies and ensures our services continue to operate safely and in line with company policies, legislation and CQC requirements.
Purpose of the Role
The Out of Hours Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the safe delivery of services outside normal office hours.
You will provide guidance and support to frontline care staff, respond to incidents and emergencies, monitor care systems and ensure that policies, procedures and safeguarding responsibilities are followed at all times.
This is a lone working position requiring excellent judgement, resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Although you will often work independently, management support is available whenever required.
The safety of the people we support, our staff and the continuity of our services must always be your priority.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
Provide remote support and guidance to care staff working in the community and supported living services.
Respond promptly to telephone calls, emails and operational issues.
Provide advice to staff to ensure safe and effective care is maintained.
Make decisions within your level of authority and escalate concerns appropriately.
Emergency Response
Respond to emergency situations affecting the people we support or staff.
Coordinate emergency responses in line with company procedures.
Attend services where required to provide operational support.
Ensure appropriate emergency services are contacted when necessary.
Escalate responsible incidents immediately to the On C
