About The Role We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Procurement Manager with strong expertise in the Solar EPC / Renewable Energy industry. The candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities for utility-scale, commercial & industrial (C&I;), and rooftop solar projects.

The role demands deep market knowledge, strong vendor management capabilities, strategic sourcing expertise, and the ability to optimize procurement cost, quality, and timelines.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive exposure in procurement of solar modules, inverters, structures, cables, transformers, BOS components, and EPC-related materials while ensuring compliance with technical and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Sourcing:

Lead procurement operations for solar projects across multiple locations.

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Handle strategic sourcing of Solar PV Modules, Inverters, Mounting Structures, HT/LT Cables, Transformers, SCADA & Monitoring Systems, BOS Materials, Electrical Components.

Identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality and timelines

Identify opportunities for credit facilities with vendors, strategic pricing, volume discounts etc.

Vendor Management Conduct vendor evaluation, qualification, and performance assessments.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and contracts effectively.

Commercial & Contract Management Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and project requirements.

Manage RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations,



bid analysis, and purchase order execution.

Ensure procurement contracts are commercially competitive and legally compliant.

Coordinate with legal, finance, and technical teams for contract finalization.

Monitor procurement budgets and maintain cost control mechanisms.

Project Coordination Work closely with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement support.

Track procurement schedules to meet project milestones and commissioning timelines.

Resolve supply chain issues, logistics delays, and material shortages proactively.

Supply Chain & Inventory Control Optimize inventory planning and material availability

Monitor logistics, transportation, warehousing, and dispatch activities.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance for imports and domestic procurement.

Leadership & Process Improvement Establish procurement SOPs, MIS reporting systems, and performance metrics.

Drive digital procurement initiatives and ERP-based procurement systems.

Continuously improve procurement efficiency and vendor performance.

Education Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Energy) preferred.

MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement will be an added advantage.

Experience 10 to 15

years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain within the Solar or Renewable Energy industry.

Strong exposure to utility-scale solar projects and EPC procurement.

Proven experience in handling high-value procurement contracts and vendor negotiations.

Technical Skills Strong understanding of solar components and technical specifications.

Knowledge of EPC procurement processes and supply chain management.

Familiarity with SAP is an advantage

Robust commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
