Position Title: Maintenance Person I Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Starting Pay Rate: $26.24/hour

Basic Function: Maintains facility,



systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

Responsibilities:

Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
Inspect and/or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Diagnose electrical problems.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, jacks, or hoists.
Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
