Role Description The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is a full-time, on-site role based at DRBCCC Hindu College in Chennai.



This role focuses on supporting students’ psychosocial wellbeing through individual counseling, group sessions, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate external services when needed. The LMSW will collaborate with college committees such as student grievance and women’s grievance redressal cells, contributing professional input on policies, prevention programs, and awareness initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining confidential records, developing intervention plans, and coordinating with faculty, administration, and families to address academic, behavioral, and social challenges. The role also involves organizing workshops on mental health, life skills, and social awareness, participating in campus outreach programs, and contributing to data-driven improvements in student support services.
Qualifications
