Job Description

As a Senior Engineer – Geotech & Tunnels, you will be part of the AU GCC team in WSP India and operate out of our Bengaluru office. The ideal candidate for this critical role would be from a Civil Engineering/Geology background with a postgraduation in Geotechnical Engineering/Rock Mechanics. Studies relating to the reduction in embodied carbon in design would be highly regarded.

You will be supporting multi-disciplinary, geographically-spread teams working on projects principally in Australia and across the APAC region. You will be tasked with interpretation, analysis, calculations as well as writing technical reports pertaining to geotechnical design of foundations, slope stabilization and retaining structures etc. on a range of infrastructure and building domains. Should be familiar with Geotechnical design for soft soils, liquefaction, settlement, dredging, and reclamation for Ports, Maritime, Road, and Rail projects.

Responsibilities

Independently undertake investigations,



analysis and consulting services on assigned projects and be accountable for end to end project delivery including designs, calculations, reports and drawings/documentation to a high standard
Lead a project team where necessary and supervise the work of junior team members; Add value to wider WSP India teams across organisation boundaries through coaching, mentoring, guidance and technical advice to contribute to an engaged and enthusiastic team culture.
Carry out complex geotechnical engineering designs for dredging, and reclamation of Ports, Maritime, Road, and Rail projects.
Produce and review designs, calculations, contract documentation, specifications, schedules, construction estimates and drawings suitable for the preparation of lead region’s contract documentation. In particular, to undertake shallow and deep foundation design, retaining wall analysis and design, slope stability analysis and design of stabilisation measures, liquefaction analysis and ground improve
