Brief Job Summary
The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager to understand and deliver the strategic roadmap for the product. They will work with the development team and supporting roles to break that roadmap down into prioritised requirements. Working with support from the Product Manager they will ensure that the development team has a transparent understanding of the product/platform vision and goals. They oversee product build progress, answering queries and helping solve impediments to the delivery.
The role is part of our squad structure and can be aligned to any product or platform in SS, RS or Common Services.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Product Manager with the creation and update of a centrally mastered Product Roadmap.
Ensure the Product Roadmap is reflected correctly in our work management tooling (JIRA or ADO).
Creation of features and user stories with support from other roles in the form of a healthy prioritised backlog.
Definition of sprint goals to help focus the teams during their increment.
Formal acceptance of work as done and ready for release.
Support cross team dependency management.
Input to both product and build reporting as required including financial reporting and budgeting.
Use data to recommend to the Product Manager best solutions and approaches.
Creation of technical user stories where required and ability to prioritise these.
