General Manager – International Sales (Chemicals, Petrochemicals & Lubricants)

About the Company
Our client is a Dubai-based manufacturer and global trader of solvents, lubricants, base oils,
petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and industrial raw materials with an established presence across
Africa, GCC, MENA and other international markets.
As part of its next phase of international expansion, the company is looking for an accomplished
General Manager – International Sales to drive new market development and accelerate export
growth.
Employment Model: The selected candidate will be on the payroll of Akal Information Systems
Limited under an Employer of Record (EoR) arrangement and will work exclusively for the Dubai-
based client.
This Role Is For You If...
You are someone who has built international business—not merely managed existing accounts.
You have personally:
● Opened current countries and export markets
● Acquired large international customers
● Appointed and developed overseas distributors
● Built sustainable export revenue




● Negotiated and closed international commercial deals
● Travelled extensively across Africa, GCC and MENA to generate business
If your experience is primarily limited to managing inherited customers or domestic sales, this role
may not be the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
● Drive international business growth across Africa, GCC, MENA and other export markets
● Develop and execute export sales and market expansion strategies
● Open new countries, acquire strategic customers and build sustainable export revenue
● Appoint, develop and manage distributors, dealers and channel partners
● Build strong relationships with chemical manufacturers, trading companies, distributors and
industrial customers
● Lead commercial negotiations, pricing, contracts and key account management
● Identify new product applications, market opportunities and emerging customer needs
● Work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and Technical
