Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Research Analyst with strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills. The ideal candidate should have experience in renewable energy or the power sector and be capable of independently leading research projects, managing stakeholders, and delivering high-quality market intelligence reports within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and publication of quarterly, annual, and custom research reports.
Conduct primary and secondary research across India's renewable energy and power sectors.
Gather market intelligence through interactions with industry stakeholders, government agencies, developers, manufacturers, and investors.
Analyze market trends,



policies, regulations, investments, and industry developments.
Develop financial models, market forecasts, and data-driven insights using advanced Excel.
Design and execute research methodologies for consulting assignments and custom projects.
Write explicit, data-backed reports with minimal supervision while maintaining Mercom's editorial standards.
Present research findings to clients through presentations, analyst briefings, webinars, and meetings.
Support consulting engagements by providing market analysis and strategic recommendations.
Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings to collect market intelligence and represent Mercom.
Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Mentor junior analysts and coordinate research activities within the team.
Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, News, Marketing, Data
