The Operational, Technology and Cyber Risk (OTCR) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank’s operations, data, and IT systems by managing operational, technology and cyber risk across the enterprise. Reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Group OTCR team serves as the second line of defence for assuring that controls are implemented effectively, in accordance with the OTCR Framework, and for instilling a risk culture within the Bank.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to span AI initiatives across the Bank supporting the second line of defence oversight of AI across Operational, Technology and Cyber Risks. With the rapid development of the technology and ambitious plans for AI use in the Bank, this will be a key role in helping understand,



coordinate and manage the complex risks associated with AI’s multifaceted impact on the business and technology. Part of a wider team of Cyber and Technology SME’s this role will be supported by a close nit team of experts and will gain expansive visibility and integration across Bank wide and highly relevant strategic change.

This role is responsible for managing the AI risk and governance for Operational, Cyber and Technology Risks. This includes collating the enterprise AI risk profile, analysing risk and control data to identify trends and emerging issues, and supporting the wider AI SME team to collate, analyse, coordinate and act on key issues and actions. It also coordinates OTCR-wide AI activities to drive consistency across policies, process and oversight, while leading engagement, awareness and education to support secure, informed and effective adoption of AI across OTCR.
