Job Title: Motor Underwriter
Location: Ambli Bopal, Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities
• Assess and underwrite motor insurance risks based on vehicle type, usage, IDV, and claims/NCB history.
• Prepare and share quotations for Private Car, Two-Wheeler, and Commercial Vehicle policies.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for pricing, terms, and policy issuance.
• Negotiate premium and coverage terms with insurers to achieve best outcomes for clients.
• Review proposal forms, RC/vehicle documents, inspection reports, and claims history for accuracy and completeness.
• Support placement of risks, endorsements, renewals, and mid-term changes.
• Ensure timely issuance of policies, endorsements, and renewal confirmations.
• Maintain proper documentation and underwriting records as per internal and regulatory (IRDAI) requirements.




• Work closely with sales/client servicing teams to provide technical support and product guidance.
• Handle client queries related to policy coverage, exclusions, and underwriting requirements.
• Assist in resolving operational issues with insurers and ensure service timelines are met.

Desired Candidate Profile
• 1-3 years of experience in Motor underwriting / operations (insurer or broking background preferred).
• Graduate (Bachelor's degree mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of motor insurance products, IDV/NCB computation, and IRDAI guidelines.
• Good understanding of underwriting principles, documentation, and policy terms.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Positive negotiation and follow-up skills with insurers.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage mltiple cases simultaneously.
