About the role
Sevalaya is seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Fundraiser to lead fundraising initiatives and build long-term relationships with donors, corporate partners, CSR teams, foundations, and philanthropists. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in resource mobilization, donor engagement, proposal development, and achieving fundraising targets for social impact initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement fundraising strategies to achieve annual fundraising targets.
Identify, approach, and secure funding from individual donors, corporate CSR partners, foundations, trusts, and institutional donors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors.
Prepare compelling funding proposals, concept notes, presentations, grant applications, and donor reports.
Manage the complete donor lifecycle, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention.
Collaborate with program teams to understand project requirements and develop funding opportunities.
Organize donor meetings, fundraising campaigns, CSR engagement events, and networking initiatives.
Ensure timely reporting, compliance, documentation, and utilization updates for funded projects.
Maintain donor databases, fundraising pipelines, and performance trackers.
Monitor fundraising trends, CSR priorities, and grant opportunities.
Represent the organization at corporate meetings, conferences, donor forums, and partnership events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a Master’s degree in Management, Social Work, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred.
6–10 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, CSR partnerships, business development, or grant management, preferably in the NGO or development sector.
Demonstrated success in raising funds from corporate CSR programs, foundations, HNIs, and institutional donors.
Required skills

Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to independently develop donor pipelines and close funding opportunities.
Knowledge of CSR regulations, grant management, and nonprofit fundraising practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM or donor management systems.
Willingness to travel for donor meetings and partnership development.
