We are looking for a Mechanical Design Specialist to join our agile engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes, and product architecture. This role involves conceptualizing and developing high-performance mechanical systems that comply with safety and industry standards while balancing functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics. The candidate should have a passion for innovation, a structured design approach, and a deep understanding of component selection and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities
Benchmark mechanical systems, components, and product architectures against industry standards and compliance requirements.
Develop scalable, modular, and manufacturable mechanical system architectures.
Create concept designs, layouts, and detailed mechanical solutions based on functional and performance requirements.
Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components while optimizing cost and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Controls,



Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement throughout the product development lifecycle.
Apply design thinking methodologies to develop innovative and customer-focused mechanical solutions.
Perform design trade-off studies, feasibility analysis, and engineering calculations to optimize product performance.
Evaluate standard mechanical components and suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and technical suitability.
Create high-quality 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings following Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Ensure designs meet functionality, ergonomics, structural integrity, reliability, manufacturability, and aesthetic requirements.
Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and design change records.
