Background
Zonal Officers provide field-level supervision and coordination across the six project zones, mentoring Field Enumerators and Peer Champions and serving as the operational link between wet markets, Market Welfare Associations (MWAs), and the project team.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day field supervision and mentoring to Field Enumerators and Peer Champions across allotted zones; submit mentoring field-visit reports for all six zones.
• Support engagement with GHMC stakeholders and Market Welfare Associations (MWAs) to finalize the operational scope for field implementation.
• Coordinate ward- and zone-wise wet market mapping and risk profiling, ensuring coverage of Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3,



and unregistered wet markets.
• Oversee execution of the deployment micro-plan and targeted coverage strategy for risk profiling in the assigned zone(s).
• Coordinate and supervise on-site coaching sessions, upskilling activities, and Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) rollout across markets in the zone.
• Support activation and supervision of Peer Champions for early warning surveillance and community reporting linked to IDSP/IHIP trigger lists.
• Coordinate distribution of biosafety consumables to high-risk vendors and maintain signed beneficiary acknowledgment records.
• Coordinate and support execution of health camps, and facilitate linkage of wet market workers to public health facilities
• Support consolidation of zonal data and reporting for milestone deliverables.
