Experience Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Flight control software for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones). The role involves working on real-time, safety-critical systems including flight control, navigation, sensor fusion, and autonomous behaviours on embedded hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for high-speed drone flight control systems.
- Implement and optimize flight control algorithms, navigation logic, and autonomous mission execution.
- Develop low-level drivers and middleware for IMU, GPS, magnetometer, pressure sensors, Radar, cameras, and other sensors.
- Motors, ESCs, and communication interfaces.
- Implement sensor fusion algorithms (e.g., Kalman filters) for state estimation.
- Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and safety compliance.
- Perform unit testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and flight testing.
- Debug complex issues on embedded hardware using JTAG, logic analyzers, and simulation tools.
- Optimize code for performance, memory, and power efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
- Working experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) is desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies :





- Solid proficiency in C/C for embedded system programming. Embedded Linus (optional).
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and processors (ARM Cortex-M/A series, STM32, NXP, Atmega, Toshiba, Qualcom).
- Solid understanding of Embedded systems architecture, Interrupts, DMA, timers, and low-level peripherals.
- Hands-On experience of RTOS, Graphic Display, Device drivers, Sensors, Motors, various communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Camera MIPI CSI etc).
- Knowledge of control systems, particularly PID control.
- Familiarity with communication protocols : UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, MAVLink.
- Hands-On experience in Bare Metal Firmware development and application layer software development for Microcontrollers.
- Understanding of real-time constraints and safety-critical software practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
- Working knowledge of Product Development cycle, SW architecture and Code optimization.
- Hands-On experience in FPGA interface with microcontroller.
- Expertise in Development, Implementation, Testing and Debugging stages and supporting Documentation. Software development as per DO-178B/C guidelines.

Experience : Experience 6 - 10 years in Embedded Software development.

Education Requirements : Bachelor/ Masters degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
