Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr.

Azure

Engineer (DevOps & DB) / Cloud to lead the design, build, and management of our Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, with a specific focus on Windows-based application hosting, SQL Server database engineering, and DevOps delivery pipelines. In this role, you will be the owning the cloud environment- a dedicated, per-customer hosted deployment built on Windows Server, WildFly, and SQL Server and will work closely with Enineering, Product and Cloud team to deliver a reliable, secure, and production-grade hosting platform.

As a senior engineer in this team, you will take ownership of the Azure environment, collaborating with the engineering and infrastructure teams to align on stack design, and providing hands-on engineering leadership across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, database setup and management, security hardening, and release operations. You will also play a key role in supporting the transition of Oracle-based customers to SQL Server as part of the cloud onboarding process, as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, provision, and manage dedicated Microsoft Azure environments for the Accurate application, including Windows Server VMs, WildFly application server, SQL Server, and Spark Gateway for thick client access
- Set up and maintain the storage layer within the Azure environment
- Build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enabling automated build, test, and deployment workflows for the Accurate engineering team
- Design and manage per-customer environment provisioning (Production and lower environments) in line with the dedicated-instance hosting model
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging,



and alerting solutions across all Accurate cloud environments using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or equivalent
- Own SQL Server setup, configuration, and ongoing management in the Azure environment, including enabling Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and enforcing HTTPS for all communications
- Support the migration of Oracle-based customers to SQL Server
- Enforce Azure and application-layer security best practices, including identity and access management, network security groups, and secure communication between all components
- Automate environment provisioning and configuration management to ensure repeatable, consistent customer onboarding
- Perform release activities in coordination with the Product, QA, and development teams, ensuring smooth and repeatable deployment processes
- Respond to infrastructure incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for environment architecture, provisioning runbooks, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes
- Stay current with Azure platform updates and DevOps tooling developments relevant to the Accurate hosting workplace

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 6+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and database engineering, including 2+ years managing systems in a production environment




- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure- specifically Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Network Security Groups, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps pipelines, Azure CLI, Azure Load Balancer / Application Gateway, and Azure Key Vault
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server administration and Windows-based application hosting environments
- Experience deploying and managing WildFly (JBoss) application server on Windows
- Solid SQL Server experience, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, TDE setup, and database administration in a production context
- Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (ex: Jenkins)
- Experience with infrastructure security hardening, including HTTPS enforcement, identity and access management, encryption at rest and in transit, and Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing and project management tools (JIRA, Salesforce, or similar)
- Strong scripting ability in PowerShell and/or Python for automation and infrastructure management tasks

Nice To Have

- Exposure to Spark Gateway or similar thick client remote access technologies
- Experience supporting Oracle-to-SQL Server database migrations
- Experience configuring and managing P: drive or UNC file share solutions within hosted environments
- Familiarity with Azure Management Groups and Azure Policy for governance and compliance management across multiple customer environments
- Exposure to Hybrid Networking in Azure (VPN Gateway or ExpressRoute) for scenarios where customers require on-premises connectivity to their hosted Accurate environment
- One or more relevant Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104 Azure Administrator, AZ-400 DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable
