Job Purpose

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through functional, regression, integration, API, and automated testing. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to understand business requirements, validate application functionality, identify defects, and contribute to automation efforts using established testing frameworks and modern quality engineering practices.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design effective test scenarios.
Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects with transparent reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
Perform regression testing to validate defect fixes and ensure application stability.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies to understand upcoming features and testing requirements.




Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the existing Playwright automation framework under established framework standards.
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and maintain automation scripts as application functionality evolves.
Perform API testing and backend data validation using SQL.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA team members to improve product quality and test coverage.
Support CI/CD execution of automated test suites and assist in improving automation stability.
Utilize AI-powered development and testing tools to improve test creation, debugging, documentation, and overall productivity.
Continuously learn new testing tools, automation technologies, and quality engineering best practices.

Non-Essential Functions

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter is an added advantage.
Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments is a plus.
