Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Architect with strong expertise in legacy IBM i technologies and contemporary data engineering concepts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AS/400 systems, RPG, COBOL, DB2, Control Language (CL), and Java, along with a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and scripting. The role involves maintaining and modernizing IBM i applications, developing data pipelines, and integrating legacy systems with contemporary data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on IBM AS/400 (IBM i).
• Design, develop, and support programs using RPG (RPG III/IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG) and COBOL.
• Develop and optimize DB2 SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Write and maintain Control Language (CL) programs and automation scripts.
• Build and support ETL/ELT workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Integrate legacy AS/400 applications with modern platforms using Java and scripting technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy applications and improve data processing.
