Brand Marketing + Organic Instagram Intern

paperplane is a travel club helping families discover and book brilliant hotels around the world.

We currently do almost nothing on Instagram. You’ll help us change that.

This isn’t a role where you inherit a content calendar and spend your day resizing Canva templates. You’ll help build paperplane’s Instagram presence from zero: figure out what we should talk about, develop repeatable formats, make the content, publish it, and learn from what works.

What you’ll do
- Build paperplane’s organic Instagram presence from the ground up
- Turn our hotel research, booking stories, founder opinions and travel knowledge into posts, reels, carousels and experiments
- Develop a distinct visual and editorial language for the account
- Create recurring formats people begin to recognise and look forward to
- Find interesting ways to make family travel and hotels culturally relevant—not another feed of generic destination lists
- Shoot and edit simple content when needed




- Track what earns attention, saves, shares and genuine conversations
- Experiment with collaborations, creators, distribution and new formats
- Use AI aggressively to research, write, design, edit and produce faster

You’ll have the freedom—and a real budget—to play with practically any AI tool under the sun.

You might be a valuable fit if
- You spend an unreasonable amount of time noticing why certain Instagram accounts work
- You have strong taste in writing, design, video or internet culture
- You can take a rough thought and turn it into something worth publishing
- You’re curious about travel, hotels, families and how brands earn attention
- You like experimenting more than waiting for a perfect brief
- You’re comfortable owning work independently and showing unfinished ideas
- You can distinguish a genuinely good post from content that merely looks polished
