KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and develop production forecasting and optimisation models across parking (occupancy, price elasticity, valet resourcing, drive-up vs prebook), aero (PAX and security forecasts) and retail (PSR, cross-sell) use cases.
- Build and maintain end-to-end pipelines in Python on Azure Machine Learning, with frequent read/write to Snowflake and automated daily batch prediction and retraining.
- Engineer features (including custom features and calendar events) for models whose inputs change over time, and tune them for accuracy and performance.
- Operationalise ML models: deployment, monitoring dashboards, data-drift and failure detection.
- Produce explainability and what-if outputs for onshore leads to share with the business.
- Collaborate daily with the onshore team through stand-ups and deep dives across the AEST overlap, and document models, code and SOPs in Azure DevOps.
- Mentor and quality-review junior data scientists.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE — ESSENTIAL

- 5+ years’ data science experience with a track record of delivering models into production.
- Strong Python and SQL, with solid time-series forecasting, regression,



classification and clustering.
- Hands-on with Azure Machine Learning and with Snowflake (or an equivalent cloud warehouse / ML platform).
- MLOps depth — batch prediction, automated training, deployment, monitoring and drift detection.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD), or similar
- Robust written communication and documentation, and the ability to work a Sydney-aligned schedule with substantial daytime overlap.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Data Science) or equivalent experience.

DESIRABLE

- Forecasting, pricing / revenue-management, or operational analytics experience.
- Power BI, optimisation and scenario / what-if modelling, and A/B testing.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or scientists in a distributed team.
- Interest in aviation, transport or operational data.
