Position details
The Senior Database Engineer is responsible for the engineering, administration, reliability, automation, and operational support of enterprise database platforms,



with primary responsibility for Microsoft SQL Server and secondary support for IBM DB2 environments.
The role focuses on ensuring database services are secure, highly available, resilient, performant, and compliant with MUFG technology standards. The incumbent will drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, operational excellence, automation, observability, and continuous service improvement while supporting critical business applications across the Bank.
This position works closely with Infrastructure, Application, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Service Management teams to maintain stable and reliable database services and support the Bank's operational resilience objectives.
