The Senior Analytics Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across our credit card and retail banking portfolios. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, data analytics, and financial services, this role is responsible for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets to optimize portfolio profitability, manage credit risk, and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Performance & Business Strategy
Analyze credit card portfolio metrics (e.g., active rates, spend volume, revolving behavior, balance build, credit limit utilization, and attrition) to identify growth opportunities and revenue leakage.
Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, product performance, and channel effectiveness to support strategic business cases.
Translate complex analytical findings into transparent, structured, and actionable business recommendations for senior leadership and product owners.
2. Data Extraction, Manipulation & Reporting
Write highly optimized, complex SQL queries and/or SAS programs to extract, clean,



and aggregate transactional and customer demographic data from enterprise data warehouses.
Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and business intelligence reports tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for the credit card business.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all analytical outputs and regulatory reporting.
3. Risk & Credit Analytics
Partner with Risk Management to monitor credit quality, delinquency trends, roll rates, and credit loss provisions.
Analyze the impact of credit policy changes (e.g., credit limit increases/decreases, underwriting criteria) on portfolio performance and risk-adjusted revenue.
4. Marketing & Campaign Analytics
Evaluate the performance of customer acquisition, cross-sell, balance transfer, and retention campaigns.
