Position Summary
Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, the Finance Manager – India will lead the India finance function with responsibility for accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, audits, and internal controls. This role is ideal for a strong accounting leader in the Mumbai area with India GAAP and US GAAP knowledge who wants exposure to a US-owned global organization.
Detailed Role Responsibilities
I. Accounting Close and Reporting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, general ledger ownership, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Prepare and review management reporting packages, statutory financial statements, and other required financial reporting deliverables.
India GAAP, US GAAP, Tax, and Statutory Compliance
Own India GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirements and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies.
Manage statutory filings, tax compliance, audit support, and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
III. Controls, Processes,



and Documentation
Drive implementation of scalable accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation to support a growing India finance function.
Support SOX readiness, control evidence, and process standardization aligned with corporate finance expectations.
IV. Team Leadership and Business Partnership
Lead, coach, and develop the India accounting team while building solid working relationships with local business leaders and global finance stakeholders.
Partner with global finance teams on consolidation, reporting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement priorities.
V. Systems and Continuous Improvement
Support ERP enhancements, reporting improvements, and finance process automation initiatives.
Use data, analytics, and practical problem-solving to improve close efficiency, reporting quality, and finance operating discipline.
