Job Responsibilities :

.

- To handle litigation before Revenue, Civil, District and High Court in the state of Madhya Pradesh or any other Court or Tribunal
- Drafting, vetting and finalizing Agreement to Sale, Sale deed, Long Term Lease, Conveyance deed; Registration and mutation of land documents; Conducting due diligence on the title of the property; Attending public hearings, whereever applicable;
- Drafting the pleadings / written staements, notices and private complaints in the local language i.e. in Hindi and English as and when required by the Company.
- Assisting the Land Acquisition (LAQ) / Right of Use (RoU) team on issues relating to acquisition of RoU, maintenance of the LAQ / RoU, appearing before various Revenue Courts / Revenue Authorities and filing necessary applications and filing of Criminal complaints against the perpetrators for violation of the statutory provisions envisaged in the MPLRC, MP RoU Act or under any other Act as the case may be.
- Appointing and briefing external counsels; Drafting, review and settling pleadings relating to the dispute; Briefing the advocates / senior counsels and monitoring the pending cases on regular basis,




- Legal opinions on general business matters of the Company,
- Any other work as would be assigned by the Group Head.

Education Requirement :

Candidate should have completed graduation with a degree in law or passed integrated law course of 5 years from a recognised university

Experience Requirement :

- Minimum experience of 8-10 years as a practicing advocate before District Court / High Court or looking after litigation portfolio in renowned corporate sector,
- Experience in Revenue and Civil Criminal litigation,
- Experience in handling litigation relating to Land Acquisition matters and Acquisition of Right of User in immovable properties,
- Knowledge and experience in sale and purchase, title investigation of immovable properties and attending before the Revenue Authorities.
- Proficiency in drafting of pleadings, notices and complaints including private complaints

Skills & Competencies :

Understanding of the MP Land Revenue Code and regulations, Land acquisition Act, local ROU Act & Rules, Registration Act, Stamp Duty Act, Transfer of Property Act, Civil Procedure Code, Criminal Procedure Code with amendments applicable to the state. Knowledge in MS Office, Excel and drafting in Hindi and English.
