About the Client
Our Client is one of the leading HVAC Sheetmetal fabricator and duct manufacturer in the South East Region of Melbourne.

Role Overview
As a CAD Draftsperson & Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate HVAC ductwork drawings and detailed cost estimates to support the successful delivery of commercial and industrial projects. You will interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, produce fabrication-ready designs using CAMduct, and prepare competitive quotations by accurately estimating material, labour, and manufacturing costs.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and the production team,



you will ensure all designs are practical, compliant, and ready for manufacture while contributing to efficient project planning and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Drafting
Prepare detailed HVAC ductwork drawings using CAMduct.
Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical services drawings.
Develop fabrication-ready ductwork layouts and manufacturing files.
Modify drawings in response to design changes and client requirements.
Ensure drawings comply with Australian Standards, project specifications, and company procedures.
Liaise with the production team to resolve design or fabrication issues.
Estimating
Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Measure quantities and prepare accurate material take-offs.
Estimate labour, fabrication, installation, and material costs.
Prepare quotations, tenders, and pricing proposals.
Obtain supplier pricing where required.
