LOCUM CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN AND GYNAECOLOGIST
FIXED TERM POST – 12 MONTHS
Full time post available, part time and job share applications welcome
Basic Salary: £111,430 - £148,064 per annum + on-call supplement (5% of full time salary)

Borders General Hospital is a up-to-date and well-equipped 320 bed DGH serving the rural Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh.
The Role
This post is based within the Borders General Hospital in Melrose and will provide a unique opportunity to develop and enhance the existing service within NHS Borders and South East Scotland.
This is a replacement post, offered on full-time basis of 10 programmed activities per week including on call. EPAs may be offered if mutually agreed. The job plan would be adjusted for part time or job share candidates. On-call will be on a 1 in 6 basis
The candidate must hold MRCOG or equivalent and must also be registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice and preferably on the Specialist Register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology before taking up the post or in training within 6 months of expected date of obtaining CCT or equivalent. We are seeking candidates with general obstetrics and gynaecology skills but in addition a special interest in colposcopy would be particularly welcomed.
