We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Cost Accountant with strong domain expertise in ESR and forging operations, specifically within the defence manufacturing segment. The role requires a professional who can drive cost efficiency, develop robust costing systems, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Costing & AnalysisDevelop and maintain accurate product costing for ESR and forging processesConduct variance analysis (material, labor, overheads) and identify cost optimization opportunitiesPrepare detailed cost sheets for defense-grade productsSystem Development & Process ImprovementDesign and implement recent costing systems, controls,
and MIS frameworksDrive automation and digitization initiatives in costing and reportingStrengthen internal controls and standard costing mechanismsSAP & Digital IntegrationHands-on working experience in SAP (CO, MM, PP modules preferred)Ensure accurate cost capture and reporting through SAP systemsCollaborate with IT teams for system enhancements and AI-driven analyticsBudgeting & MISPrepare annual budgets and rolling forecastsMonitor actual performance vs budget and report deviationsDeliver insightful MIS reports to senior managementDefense Sector CostingUnderstand cost structures specific to defense manufacturingSupport pricing decisions, tenders, and contract costingEnsure compliance with industry norms and audit requirementsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with production, procurement, and finance teamsProvide cost inputs for strategic and operational decisions
