Unit specific responsibilities

- Supervise and deploy security guards across all hospital areas including OPD, IPD, Emergency, and entry/exit gates

- Ensure 24*7 security coverage through effective shift and manpower management

- Monitor and control entry and exit of patients, attendants, staff, and vendors

- Conduct regular security rounds and inspections of the hospital premises

- Ensure strict adherence to NABH safety and security standards

- Implement and monitor fire safety, disaster management, and emergency response protocols

- Conduct and participate in mock drills such as fire drills and evacuation drills

- Maintain security registers, logbooks, incident reports, and compliance records

- Respond promptly to emergencies including theft, violence, fire, and medico-legal cases

- Investigate incidents and submit detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions

- Coordinate with local police, fire department, and other emergency services when required

- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing at all times

- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline of security personnel

- Conduct regular training,

- Ensure proper uniform, ID cards, and skilled behavior of all security personnel

- Regulate visitor entry as per hospital policy and enforce visiting hours

- Manage crowd control during peak hours and emergency situations

- Assist in handling VIP visits and sensitive situations

- Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activities immediately

- Ensure protection of hospital property, equipment, and vehicles

- Manage parking and ensure smooth traffic flow within the premises

- Coordinate with nursing, HR, maintenance, and other departments for security-related issues

- Address and resolve complaints related to security from patients and attendants

- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly security reports to management

- Ensure quick response time and effective handling of all security-related situations

- Maintain confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and code of conduct.
