Position details
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Database Engineering & Operations, is responsible for the engineering, administration, automation, reliability, and operational support of enterprise database platforms,



with primary accountability for Oracle Database environments and secondary support responsibility for at least one of MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL platforms.
The role ensures database services remain secure, highly available, resilient, performant, and compliant with MUFG technology standards and operational risk requirements. The incumbent will support both engineering and operational activities across the database estate, including platform lifecycle management, service reliability, automation, operational resilience, and production support.
Working closely with Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, Security, and Service Management teams, the AVP will ensure stable and reliable database services supporting critical business applications across the Bank.
