The Role

The Software Engineering Manager is the architectural owner of the user-facing stack. The role sets and documents the technical direction end to end, defines API contracts with the backend, detection engine, and platform teams, and holds the line on performance, security, and maintainability as the product scales.



It combines that architectural responsibility with people leadership: coaching and growing full stack engineers, and supplying the feasibility, effort, and risk input the Product Owner needs to prioritize the backlog. The role collaborates closely with Product Management, QA, Support, and potentially Technical Pre-Sales.

This is a hands-on management role. The successful candidate is expected to remain technically credible across the stack — reviewing code and designs, prototyping risky areas, and making architectural calls they can defend with working evidence rather than delegating them upward or outward.

What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end architecture of the CyberSense user-facing stack — web front end, REST API layer, and the backing services and data access that support them — and document and evolve it as the platform scales.
