Hiring: School Principals / Heads of School – Across India

Salary: ₹8 LPA – ₹1 Crore+

Tallento is hiring experienced and high-potential School Principals and Academic Leaders for reputed schools, school groups, residential schools and international institutions across India.

We are hiring from Junior Principal / Academic Head level to Senior Principal, Head of School, Director Principal and Group Leadership roles.

Indicative Salary Range

Junior Principal / Academic Head: ₹8–15 LPA

Principal – Mid-Sized School: ₹12–20 LPA

Experienced Principal: ₹18–30 LPA

Senior Principal: ₹25–40 LPA

Head of School: ₹30–50 LPA

IB / Cambridge / International School Principal: ₹35–60 LPA

Director Principal / Flagship Campus Head: ₹40–70 LPA

Group Principal / Multi-Campus Leadership: ₹50–80 LPA

Premium / Executive School Leadership: ₹60 LPA–₹1 Crore+

Exceptional profiles may be considered above ₹1 Crore

Final compensation will depend on experience, current CTC, board exposure, school size, location, student strength, leadership responsibility and past performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

Lead academic planning, curriculum implementation and learning outcomes.

Ensure compliance with the respective board and school standards.

Monitor academic performance and implement improvement plans.

Promote strong teaching practices, assessments and student development.

Drive technology-enabled and student-focused learning.

School Operations

Manage overall day-to-day functioning of the school.

Coordinate academics, administration, admissions, HR and support teams.

Set explicit performance expectations and review systems.





Ensure smooth execution of school policies and processes.

Faculty Leadership

Recruit, mentor and retain quality teachers and academic leaders.

Conduct classroom observations and performance reviews.

Identify training and development needs.

Build a strong second line of school leadership.

Student Development

Maintain discipline, safety and student well-being.

Promote academics, sports, activities and holistic development.

Build a positive and achievement-driven school culture.

Ensure appropriate safeguarding and child protection practices.

Parent & Stakeholder Management

Maintain solid relationships with parents and school stakeholders.

Handle escalations, grievances and feedback professionally.

Represent the school with management, community and external authorities.

Admissions & Growth

Support admissions, student retention and school growth.

Work with management to improve enrolment and parent satisfaction.

Strengthen the school’s reputation and market positioning.

Senior leaders may be responsible for budgets, profitability and expansion.

Compliance

Ensure adherence to board affiliation requirements and education regulations.

Maintain documentation for audits, inspections and affiliations.

Ensure policies related to academics, HR, discipline and safety are followed.

Candidate ProfileJunior Principal / Academic Head

8–12 years of school education experience

Experience as Vice Principal, Coordinator, HOD, Academic Head or similar role

Strong academic and people-management skills

Principal

10–18 years of overall experience





Prior school leadership experience preferred

Ability to independently manage academics, faculty, parents and operations

Senior Principal / Head of School

15–25 years of education experience

Proven experience leading reputed K-12 schools

Strong record in academics, team performance and institutional growth

Director Principal / Group Leadership

18–25+ years of experience

Experience managing large schools, flagship campuses or multiple institutions

Strong strategic, academic, operational and people leadership

Qualification

Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline

B.Ed. / M.Ed. or equivalent qualification as applicable

Must meet the qualification and experience norms of the respective board/institution

Additional educational leadership qualifications will be an advantage

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply:
