Job Title SAP FI/FM Consultant

Job Nature – Full-time Relevant Experience – 8-12 years Job Summary – We are seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA Finance and Funds Management (FI/FM) Consultant to support both implementation and ongoing support projects. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing supporting SAP FI/FM processes, ensuring seamless integration with other modules, and providing training and support to end users. The role requires industry-specific expertise to address finance and funds management challenges unique to the mining and metals sector.

The role will support the company’s SAP S/4HANA system and its integration with other system and ensure best practices in finance and funds management are seamlessly integrated into daily operations.

Roles and Responsibilities: Finance (FI) and Funds Management (FM):

- Configure General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (BA) in SAP S/4HANA.
- Implement Fund Management (FM) for budgetary control, commitment management, and cash flow forecasting.
- Define and configure taxation, withholding tax, and statutory reporting.
- Implement cash management and liquidity planning for mining operations.
- Enable automatic payment and bank reconciliation processes using SAP Treasury & Risk Management SAP S/4HANA Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration with SAP CO, MM, SD, PP, PS and other modules to enable end-to-end financial tracking.
- Collaborate with SAP CO (Controlling) consultants for profitability analysis and cost control.
- Work closely with SAP Project System (PS) for tracking project budgets,



capital expenditure, and cost allocations.

- Set up interfaces with banks, tax authorities, and third-party financial applications. Process Optimization: • Optimize financial closing activities (quick close, soft close, year-end closing). • Implement workflow automation for approvals, payments, and budget allocations. • Leverage SAP Fiori apps for real-time financial reporting and analytics. • Improve budget control mechanisms using Funds Management to enhance cost efficiency. • Automate bank integrations, payment approvals, and cash forecasting. • Analyse existing FI/FM processes and recommend best practices for the iron ore industry. • Implement workflow automation in procurement and approval processes to enhance efficiency. • Implement best practices for efficient material management in mining operations, considering real-time data and operational constraints. Training and Support: • Conduct training sessions for end users. and knowledge transfer documents. • Assist in change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes. • Provide business process workshops to align SAP solutions with operational needs. Support and Issue Resolution: • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP FI/FM-related issues, ensuring minimal business disruption. • Troubleshoot finance and fund management-related issues. • Work on SAP OSS notes and enhancement requests as required. • Support system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization. • Guide business stakeholders on best practices in financial reporting and compliance. • Support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA Finance and FM. Desired Skills: • CA, ICWA or Degree in Related fields. • 8+ years of experience as an SAP FI/FM, preferably in the mining or manufacturing industry. • Minimum 1 Implementation and 1 Support (AMS) experience is required. • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA FI and FM modules, including integration with other modules. • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and material valuation. • Experience with SAP Fiori apps, IDocs, and interface integration. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Academic Background – • CA, ICWA or Degree in Related fields. Industry Experience – • Experience in the mining or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
