Role Overview

- Experience Required:

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP ABAP with 10+ years of experience.

ABAP Expertise &

- Technical Responsibilities

- Object-Oriented ABAP:

Strong Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP) programming skills.

- RICEF Development:

Design and develop RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects specifically for SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting) and CO (Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders, COPA).

- Enhancements:

Implement complex business logic using Enhancement Spots, BAdIs, User Exits, and Function Modules to customize standard FICO behavior.

- Interfaces &
- Data Migration:

Develop inbound/outbound interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and BDC to integrate FICO with third-party systems.

- Forms Development:

Create/maintain complex financial forms using Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, or SAP Scripts.

- Reporting:

Develop advanced ALV reporting, including interactive reports for financial data analysis.

- Functional Specification Conversion:





Analyze Functional Specifications (FS) provided by FICO consultants to create Technical Specifications (TS) and develop the required solution.

- Debugging &

- Troubleshooting:

Perform complex debugging of standard FICO programs and custom code to fix production issues.

- S/4HANA Adaptation:

Perform code remediation, simplification, and optimization during migration from ECC to S/4HANA, specifically regarding Universal Journal.

Domain Knowledge &

- Technical Tools

- FICO Data Model:

Valuable understanding of FICO tables (BKPF, BSEG, COEP, etc.) and master data structures.

- Technical Tools:

Proficiency in BAPIs, BAdIs, Enhancement Points, LSMW, and Data Dictionary objects.

- S/4HANA (Preferred):

Familiarity with CDS views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services.

Operations &

- Process Management

- Strong command of ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management) and experience using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
