Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Kharagpur. The Salesperson will engage directly with customers in-store, understand their eyewear needs, and recommend suitable frames and lenses from available collections. Day-to-day tasks include explaining product features and benefits, supporting home “try and buy” processes, managing orders and billing, and maintaining accurate sales records.

The role involves coordinating with inventory staff to ensure product availability, handling customer queries and concerns, and contributing to a welcoming, customer-focused environment.



The Salesperson will also support promotional activities and help drive sales to advance Checkoro.com’s mission of improving access to quality eyewear.

Qualifications

- Robust customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and understand customer needs.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience in retail or direct customer-facing roles.
- Basic product knowledge or interest in eyewear, optics, or healthcare products, with willingness to learn technical features such as lens coatings.
- Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with clear, courteous spoken and written communication.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Kharagpur, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with basic computer and point-of-sale systems for billing, order entry, and record-keeping.
- Prior experience in eyewear, optical stores, or retail fashion is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Minimum high school diploma; additional training or certification in sales or retail management is beneficial.
