Business Head – Solar
Role Summary

Seeking a Business Head to lead and scale the Solar business by driving sales growth, market expansion, and overall business strategy for switchgear, electrical and automation, and energy systems in the solar and renewable energy market, while building a high-performing team and strengthening the company’s position.

Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the overall solar business and product strategy, aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
Own the product lifecycle and portfolio - identify market needs, guide product roadmap, and drive new product introductions and enhancements.
Drive revenue, margins, and profitability through the right product mix, pricing, and regional sales execution.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure market‑ready products and effective go‑to‑market plans.
Build strong relationships with key customers, EPCs, and partners to capture market feedback and improve product offerings.
Track market trends, competition, and regulations; lead business reviews, forecasts,



and performance actions at a product and segment level.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics (MBA preferred).
15-20 years of experience in the solar energy sector; or 12-15 years of experience with an MBA from a reputed institute.
Strong background in sales, business development and product management.
Proven experience in leading large territories and scaling businesses.
Prior experience of managing teams.
