Develop robust, scalable, and real-time L2 software modules for 4G eNB, 5G gNB, and Small Cell architectures.
Continuously profile and optimize scheduler performance to meet stringent timing requirements in dense network environments.
End-to-End Systems Engineering & Integration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software architecture and ensure seamless integration of L2 with L1 (Physical Layer) and L3 (RRC/PDCP/SDAP).
Analyze and master RRC message sequences to successfully manage connection establishment, mobility/handovers, and state transitions.
Contribute to system-level design reviews, providing expert insights into architectural bottlenecks and resource constraints.
Advanced Debugging & Customer R&D; Support
Act as the tier-3 engineering escalation point to analyze and resolve critical field, lab, and customer-reported issues.
Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and swiftly deliver high-quality code fixes.
Utilize advanced logging frameworks and specialized wireless test equipment to characterize system behavior under heavy load conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
C/C++ Programming: Mastery of C/C++ with excellent coding, software design pattern application, and debugging skills.
Platform Software & OS: Solid expertise in Embedded Linux and RTOS environments. Deep understanding of multi-threading, concurrency control, synchronization primitives, and low-level memory management.
Protocol Stack Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of 3GPP 4G LTE and 5G NR Layer 2 protocols (MAC, RLC, PDCP), with an absolute emphasis on the MAC Scheduler.
