This is a leadership role in our engineering team – not just a cog in the wheel.
This is not a “maintenance” role. This is engineering leadership—owning the backend architecture of a global, privacy-first communication platform. You’ll lead by example, guide a high-calibre team, and ensure our backend systems remain blazing-rapid, rock-solid, and uncompromising on security. You’ll be at the intersection of code and leadership—mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and setting engineering standards that define how a global product is built.

What’s the role?

• Architect backend systems in NestJS and Golang to meet global scale and enterprise-grade performance.
• Drive design for microservices, real-time comms (WebSockets, WebRTC), and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain CI/CD discipline.
