Summary:
The Senior Manager supports the development and management of the overall Control Testing strategy and framework for the company. This role involves overseeing the 1LOD testing plan, ensuring alignment with Control Testing Standard requirements, and conducting QA over 1LOD testing to provide assurance and identify targeted areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
Support the definition of the overall control testing strategy and framework for the Bank, working with Risk.
Identify high-risk areas and prioritize control testing efforts in line with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements, collaborating with Risk and all businesses and functions.
Support the development of the annual Control testing plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage of Material and Key Controls.
Draft presentation summaries of control testing results, including significant deficiencies and remediation progress, for senior management.
Ensure the quality and consistency of control testing activities across the bank through periodic reviews of testing methodologies and results.
Support the drive towards automation and other strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of control testing in the bank and ensure best practices are maintained.
Ensure all regulatory requirements for Control Testing are met as part of the Plan.
Ensure comprehensive coverage of Key Controls and Material Controls.
Ensure the Control Testing Plan is continuously monitored to ensure it is effectively delivered, managing replanning when required.
Ensure that testing outcomes are shared with key business and risk leaders, as well as with relevant governance forums.
Ensure that significant deficiencies are escalated quickly and monitor remediation progress; conduct retesting following completion of remediation.
Establish and manage the Group Control Testing methodology.
Directly oversee Quality Assurance of the 1LOD testing plan to ensure alignment with Control Testing Standards.
