Back Office Systems Department manages and supports core applications used in daily operations, ensuring stability, evolution, and scalability of legacy and mainframe platforms, contributing to business continuity and transformation initiatives.
Position Purpose
As a Cobol Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain applications on mainframe environments, contributing to both new developments and enhancements of existing systems.
You will be involved in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), working in Agile or Waterfall frameworks, ensuring high-quality and reliable solutions aligned with business needs.
You will also leverage modern development practices, including AI-assisted tools, to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency, in compliance with BNP Paribas standards.

Direct Responsibilities
Develop andmaintainCOBOL applications on mainframe systems
Perform analysis, design, development, and testing activities
Implement new features and enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Ensure proper data flows between applications
Contribute to system quality and performance improvement

Technical Skills
Skill 1 – COBOL programming (minimum 4 years)
Skill 2 – Mainframe setting
Skill 3 – JCL (Job Control Language)
Skill 4 – DB2 and relational databases
Skill5–Experience in implementation ofSOAP andREST Web Services
Skill 6 - Working exposure to CICS
Skill 7 - Working exposure to CICS
Skill 8- Exposure to integrating file exchange tunnels like CFT
Skill 9 -Working knowledge to use Microfo
