Position Title: Manager – Learning Management System (LMS)
Department: Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE)
Reports To: Deputy Registrar – CDOE
Supervises: LMS Executives, Technical Assistants, LMS Support Staff
Employment Type: Full Time

Position Purpose
The Manager – LMS shall be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and continuously improving the University's Learning Management System for Online and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) programmes. The role ensures that the LMS supports academic delivery, learner engagement, digital assessments, faculty enablement, regulatory compliance, analytics, quality assurance, and integration with ERP and other academic systems.
The Manager shall also ensure compliance with UGC-DEB Regulations regarding learner support, digital learning resources, assessment management, academic record maintenance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. LMS Strategy & Administration
Lead the overall administration of the University's LMS.
Develop LMS operational policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).




Ensure uninterrupted LMS services throughout the academic year.
Manage LMS upgrades, maintenance, and optimization.
Recommend technology enhancements aligned with institutional objectives.

2. Academic Delivery Management
Ensure all approved programmes are available on the LMS before semester commencement.
Monitor semester-wise course readiness.
Verify proper mapping of:
Programmes
Courses
Faculty
Learners
Academic Calendar
Ensure timely activation of learning resources.

3. Digital Learning Resource Management
Supervise uploading of:
Self Learning Materials (SLM)
e-Books
Video Lectures
PPTs
Reading Materials
Assignments
Question Banks
Interactive Learning Resources
Ensure version control of all academic resources.
Coordinate with content developers for periodic updates.

4. Faculty Enablement
Organize LMS orientation programmes.
Train faculty members on:

Online Teaching
