Manage a team of Legal Counsels by providing leadership, management and coaching to enable them to be highly engaged and performing to their potential. Act as a point of escalation to resolve any legal issues and day to day queries from the team.
Support the Head, Legal COE to implement the vision, strategy and direction of the Group Commercial Legal team and ensure effective management of legal matters handled.
Work with the Head, Legal COE to ensure that the team is adequately resourced and staffed by an appropriate number of competent staff sufficiently independent to perform duties objectively, support sustainable business growth and address legal and compliance risks.
Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that the direct reports are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles and have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
Develop and implement strategy in the areas of resourcing, talent development, performance management, learning and development, engagement and succession planning for key team members.
Work with HR and the Head, Legal COE to endeavour to ensure that individuals are objectively and fairly assessed and rewarded against their responsibilities and objectives.
Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports.
Engage relevant stakeholders (e.g. business functions, support functions and Legal colleagues) to obtain regular feedback on the team.
Promote a culture and practice of valuable conduct of business and adherence to legal standards within the Group

Support the Head, Legal COE in Bangalore in executing the team’s strategy and growth in respect of the team’s Centre of Excellence hubs and the Group Commercial Legal Team.
Develop the legal service delivery model and a best in class legal operational approach to the team’s global legal activity.
Promote a culture and practice of good conduct of business and adherence to legal stand
